FAIRFIELD, CONN. - The Sacred Heart University women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, 2-1 to Navy, at home on Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened:
Navy struck first in the 40th minute, heading into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.
After trailing by one, Pioneers tied the game in the 61st minute as a Navy foul forced a penalty shot. Senior Martyna Krzysztopik found the back of the net from the PK to even the match, 1-1.
The decider came after a Sacred Heart foul forced a Navy free kick. The midshipmen scored in the 75th minute to take a 2-1 lead, which would hold for the final.
Sacred Heart had seven shots to the Midshipmen twelve with Navy leading shots on goal five to four.

- Krzysztopik scored her first goal of the season.
- The Pioneers managed two corner kick opportunities to Navy's five.
