Loudonville, NY. – The Sacred Heart University women's soccer team hung on to beat Siena 1-0 as they traveled to Loudonville, New York to pick up their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) win of the year.

How it Happened:
The first 45 minutes felt like it was all Pioneers. SHU had eight shots in the opening frame, including
Morgan Bovardi 20th career goal, in the 10
th minute.
Lindsay McShea had the helper off a corner kick to secure the 1-0 edge.
In the second half of regulation, it was all
Kyran Thievon as she saw 10 shots, and had four saves en route to her second shutout of the season.
Sacred Heart had two shots throughout the second half, but were not able to find the back of the net and held on to claim the 1-0 victory over Siena in the MAAC opener.
