Biography

2017:

  • NEC All-Tournament Team
  • Started all 59 games in his senior season, playing shortstop, first base and designated hitter
  • Led team with 68 hits, ranking third in the NEC
  • Ranked second on team in batting average at .300 and 14 stolen bases, third in total bases at 80, fifth in runs scored with 35 
  • Was also fourth with a .383 on base percentage and first in sacrfice bunts with six
  • Recorded 20 multi-hit games on the year
  • Set career-high with four hits twice, at NYIT (Feb. 24) and LIU Brooklyn (May 18)
  • Plated a career-high four runs on a grandslam at Mount on April 28
  • Became program's all-time leader in walks with number 100 on May 11 against Bryant, finished career with 110 walks. 
  • Ended the year with a nine game hit streak
  • Became the ninth Pioneer to reach 200 career hits with his single in the fifth inning in NEC Title game against CCSU

2016:

  • Led team with 41 runs, ranked second with four triples and 33 walks, and was third with 16 stolen bases, ranking in the top nine of the Northeast Conference in each category
  • 33 walks ranked fourth in SHU’s single season history
  • Was also second with a .368 on base percentage, third with 53 hits, and fourth with nine doubles
  • Saw action in all but one game, taking the field 57 times for the Pioneers
  • 2-5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI’s at Alcorn State on March 8
  • Had two three-hit games in the span of four days; first on March 18 at Saint Joseph’s and then four days later at Stony Brook
  • Reached base four times on April 1 versus Fairleigh Dickinson, going 1-2 with three walks, two runs and a stolen base
  • Three consecutive two-hit performances against Central Connecticut, Fairfield and Fairleigh Dickinson from April 17-22
  • Career-high three runs scored in regular season finale versus LIU Brooklyn on May 22, finishing 2-4 with a double, walk and RBI

2015:

  • Appeared in 54 of 56 games and finished with .213 batting avearge
  • Top five on team with 23 runs, 39 hits, 17 RBI, 23 walks, eight doubles and seven stolen bases
  • Season-best 3-5 with two doubles, two RBI’s and one run versus Fairleigh Dickinson on April 10
  • Also had three hits against Wagner on May 9, adding a run, RBI and a double
  • 2-3 with a walk, run and stolen base at Central Connecticut on May 16
  • Had a two-hit day and added a walk and run scored in helping SHU advance to its seventh consecutive NEC Championship game on May 22 against Fairleigh Dickinson

2014:

  • Hit .242 in his rookie season, making 51 appearances
  • Ranked second on team and eighth in NEC with 21 walks
  • Scored 25 runs and knocked in 15 more
  • Opened the season scoring a run in three straight games and in five of six
  • Finished 1-2 with first career home run, two runs scored, and a walk in his first career NEC game at Fairleigh Dickinson on April 5.
  • A perfect 2-2 with a walk and stolen base against Mount St. Mary's on April 18
  • Also went 2-2 with two runs scored, a double, and a RBI in a win over Bryant on May 3
  • Season high 3-6 with two runs and a double in an 8-7 triumph over CCSU on May 15
  • Matched that season high with a 3-4 performance, including two runs, a double, and a RBI, in a NEC tournament elimination game with Wagner on May 23.

Before SHU:

  • Played baseball for head Coach Charlie Lembo at Southington High School
  • Helped lead the Blue Knights to the state LL championship game twice
  • As a senior captain, he was named to the All-Conference team, as well as the All-Hartford Courant Team
  • Was also a three-year member of the Southington HS varsity basketball team.
