Chris Pagentine has joined the Sacred Heart University men’s basketball program as the Video Coordinator and Director of Analytics.
Pagentine arrives at Sacred Heart after a stint at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla. as the Program Director for boys’ postgraduate teams and Head Coach of the national boy’s postgraduate team that finished with a season record of 20-12. While at DME Academy, Pagentine sent numerous players to play at all levels of college basketball.
Prior to his time at DME Academy, Pagentine spent the previous six years internationally as a player and coach with various minor league professional teams in the Czech Republic, Germany, as well as Canada.
A graduate of the University of Southern Maine, Pagentine spent time as a player and coach of the Huskies. He also spent a season as the head coach of Green Mountain College in Vermont, finishing the season in first place with the best record in school history (21-4).
Pagentine has also spent time in the NBA Development League with the Maine Red Claws in basketball operations where he was responsible for scouting, player development, stats, and coordinating team travel plans and gear. The Red Claws finished in first place in the Atlantic Division and had the most NBA Call-Ups in franchise history.
Pagentine played for two years at the University of Southern Maine under head coach Karl Henrikson where he was the team’s co-leading scorer and captain as a senior. He also played at Averett University in Danville, Virginia where his team won the USA South regular season and conference tournament championship then advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
