Biography
2021-22:
- Third Team All NEC.
- Kicked off the season on a high note as he led the team in all major categories, including scoring (24) and rebounding (11) at La Salle (11/9). During the season-opener, Thomas also grabbed his first career double-double.
- Netted a season-high 30 points at URI (12/7) shooting 10-of-18 and a season-best 7-of-14 for three.
- Dished out a career-high seven assists at Bryant (12/31).
- Led the team in scoring with 16.4 points per game and reached the 1,000-point milestone in the NEC Quarterfinal at LIU (4/2).
- Was one of the top three-point shooters in the league and ranked third with 2.17 three’s a night and fourth with 65 total made threes.
- Posted a career-high 12 made field goals at NJIT (11/30) on his way to 29 points.
- Tallied double figure scoring in all but four games and led the team in scoring in 12 of the 30 games.
2020-21:
- NEC Most Improved Player of the Year and Second Team All-NEC.
- Named NEC Player of the Week on Jan. 11 and MET Player of the Week on Jan. 12 for his 36 and 22-point outbursts in the Merrimack series (1/7 & 1/8).
- His 36-point performance off 11-of-24 shooting from the field and 7-of-16 from long distance at Merrimack (1/7) marked a career-best.
- Netted a career-high 11-for-11 from the free throw line at St. Francis Brooklyn (2/20) as part of his 29-point contribution.
- Was the team's and the NEC's leading scorer averaging 19.1 ppg. while leading the Pioneers in 11 of their 18 games. His scoring average also ranked him among the top-50 nationally at 43.
- Ranked second in the NEC in three-point field goal attempts (142), second in three-point field goals per game (2.76), third in minutes per game (36:30), fourth in free throw percentage (.813), fourth in total made three-pointers (47), and fifth in total field goal attempts (274).
2019-20:
- Twice named NEC Rookie of the Week (January 6 & December 23).
- Played in all 33 games, making seven starts
- Reached double-digits in 10 games.
- Scored a season-high 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting versus Merrimack (Jan. 2).
- Grabbed a season-high six rebounds against Lafayette (Dec. 29).
Prior to SHU:
- Averaged 26 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals per game as a senior at Amity
- 2018 McDonald's All American Nominee
- Tallied 1,531 points during his time at Amity, which ranks second all-time in program history
- Was named the 2017-2018 New Haven Register All-Area MVP
- 2017-18 SCC MVP
- Led Amity to its first ever state championship appearance in the 2017-18 season
- Two-time First Team All-State selection (2016-17 & 2017-18)
- Earned Second Team All-State honors during the 2015-16 season
- All-NEPSAC First Team at Williston in 2018-19
