Sacred Heart Falls To FDU In Conference Clash

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Chad Timberlake had 27 points and five assists as Fairleigh Dickinson erased a nine-point deficit in the second half to beat Sacred Heart 85-76 in a Northeast Conference game Thursday night.

Timberlake started a decisive 30-12 run in the second half after Sacred Heart had built a 57-48 lead.

Gordon Klaiber scored 17 points for FDU (16-8, 13-2 NEC), which won its 10th consecutive game. Andre Harris scored 10 of his 12 in the second half.

Kibwe Trim had game highs of 31 points and eight rebounds for Sacred Heart (10-14, 7-8). Jarrid Frye added 21 points, six rebounds and six assists and Tavio Hobson scored 12 for the Pioneers.

Sacred Heart, which has lost six of seven, led by nine before getting hurt by turnovers in the second half.

Timberlake scored six straight during an 11-0 FDU run, and later a Klaiber hoop put the Knights ahead 65-64 with 7:04 to play. They didn't trail again.
