Sacred Heart Wrestling Taken Down by Rutgers

FAIRFIELD, CT (November 8, 2009) – The Sacred Heart University wrestling team opened the 2009-'10 season at home with a dual meet against Rutgers University at the Williams H. Pitt Center Sunday afternoon. Rutgers won the met by a score of 43-0.
Rutgers senior Kellen Bradley, red-shirt junior Dominick Russo, junior Bill Ashnault, and red-shirt freshman Jesse Boyden all won by pin. SHU sophomore Jonathon Rizzitello competed in the 165 weight class and lost a close match to RU sophomore Gregory Zanetti.
The Pioneers begin the season 0-1 and wrestle again next Saturday in a tri-meet with Drexel and Pittsburgh in Philadelphia, PA.
