Box Score FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Sacred Heart men's soccer team improved
to 2-0 in the Northeast Conference on Sunday with a 2-0 decision
over St. Francis (NY) on Campus Field. The Pioneers outshot
the Terriers 12-7 while junior Alex Fait
(Ottawa, Ont.) needed to make just two saves in earning the shutout
victory in goal.

29th minute as sophomore forward Brian
Francolini (Ellington, CT) scored his third goal of the
season. Graduate student Patrick
Daka (Chingola, Zambia) dribbled up the right sideline and sent
a cross in to the box for Francolini. Francolini's first
attempt was saves, but he immediately rebounded to put the ball in
the net.
SHU made it 2-0 in the 77th minute when freshman midfielder Konstantino
Dekaneas (Ancaster, Ont.) headed his first career goal, coming
unassisted. Dekaneas received the ball off a free kick taken
by Francolini that was deflected in the box and caromed off the
crossbar.

their last three contests.
Sacred Heart's best offensive opportunity of the first half came

pass to the top of the 18 where senior midfielder Mario
Mililli (Shelton, Conn.) blasted a shot over the goal.
