Box Score (New Haven, CT) - Kim Stow made six
saves, but Erica Borgo and Taylor Sankovich both scored two goals
for the Yale Bulldogs in their 5-0 win against the Sacred Heart
Pioneers Friday night.
Yale opened the scoring on Maddie Sharp's first goal of the
season at the 13:43 mark. The Bulldogs added a second when
Erica Borgo scored at the 16:42 mark, giving Yale a 2-0 lead that
they took into the half. Stow made four saves in the first
half, with Yale attempting 14 total shots through 35 minutes.
The Bulldogs finished with 25 total shots attempted.
Taylor Sankovich scored twice in the second to open up a
four-goal lead for the Bulldogs, getting helpers from Dinah
Landshut at the 37:20 and Borgo at the 59:48 mark. Borgo
added her second goal of the night at the 66:22 mark to close out
the scoring for Yale.
The Pioneers look to rebound on the road against Hofstra Sunday
afternoon at 1 p.m.
