(Bridgeport, CT) – Alex Davis (Pembroke, MA) scored twice and Mandy Montgomery (Grand Ledge, MI) stopped all 32 shots she faced, as the Sacred Heart Women's Hockey team shutout the Stevenson Mustangs Saturday afternoon to complete a two-game weekend sweep at the Wonderland of Ice.

After a scoreless first period, the Pioneers scored twice in 10 seconds a little more than four minutes into the second.  Sara Hanna (Lino Lakes, MN) gave SHU the lead for good with a power play goal set up by Casey Stathopoulos (Waltham, MA) at 4:44.  Following the ensuing faceoff, the Pioneers raced into the offensive end again and Davis buried a goalmouth feed from Cara Curran (Westford, MA) at 4:54. 

Davis struck again eight seconds into the third, moving in on another feed into the zone from Curran for a near-side wrist shot that completed the scoring for the Pioneers.

SHU is next in action Tuesday, November 20 when the Pioneers host Wesleyan at 7:00 pm.
