Women's Basketball Showing the True Meaning of the Holiday Spirit

Fairfield, Conn.—The Sacred Heart Women's Basketball Team is getting into the holiday spirit doing community service all over the state. The team is participating in Sacred Heart University's Adopt-A-Family program this season, collecting clothes, home goods and toys for an underprivileged, Connecticut family.
In addition the adopting a family, the Pioneers performed a free clinic this past Saturday. Eighty girls between third and eighth grade came out to Shelton Middle School in Shelton, Conn. to learn from eight of the Sacred Heart players. A food drive, organized by Chris Pawlowski, to benefit the Homeless Shelter/Valley Food Bank in Shelton was also held at the event, hoping for a donation in lew of a clinic fee. Pawlowski collected 10 overflowing boxes of food.
