The Mountain Hawks (2-9) broke the scoreless tie in the 37th minute when Caitlyn Mitchell converted on a penalty stroke. The Pioneers got the game even in the 59th minute of action as Gallagher put home a shot off a rebound on the right side.
In the first overtime, Lehigh got off a pair of shots, one from Amanda Granger and another from Marissa Glatt but Altepeter turned both away to help send the game to a second extra session.
In the second overtime, the Pioneers struck quickly with Bergman finishing off a feed from Gallagher right at the goal mouth to send Sacred Heart home with a 2-1 win.
The Pioneers are right back at home on Sunday afternoon when they face Lock Haven at 1:00 pm.
