Box Score FAIRFIELD, CONN. (October 4, 2014)—Junior Katie Direnzo (Shelton, Conn.) recorded an errorless match as the Sacred Heart women's volleyball team posted a season-high .432 hitting percentage in Saturday's sweep of St. Francis Brooklyn (25-15, 25-13, 25-14). Sarah Krufka (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) led all players with 13 kills, and was just one of three Pioneers to reach double digits.
Tori Kemper (Banks, Ore.) and Makayla Dole (Cypress, Calif.) tallied double-doubles and SHU picked up its first Northeast Conference win of the season. They each totaled 10 kills, while Dole recorded 18 digs, and Kemper 10.
The Terriers managed the opening points of the second and third sets, but those were their only lead as the Pioneers dominated the match.
Sacred Heart returns to action this Tuesday when they host the Stony Brook Seawolves at 7:00 p.m. in the William H. Pitt Center.
