Setting the Scene... After its convincing win over the University of Bridgeport Tuesday night, the Sacred Heart women's basketball team goes on the hunt for its third win of the season in Bangor, Maine against the University of Maine Black Bears on Sunday.
Series Notes... The Pioneers and Black Bears met in the William H. Pitt Center for the first time in program history last year. Sacred Heart squeezed out a 76-75 win thanks to three free throws from Gabrielle Washington and Lerae Ettienne in the final minutes of the game.
SHU Against the America East... The Pioneers are 39-49 against the America East
- The Pioneer were 0-1 in 2012-13 against the America East falling to Stony Brook on the road 51-46
- Sacred Heart has winning records against Albany (9-6), Binghampton (4-2), Maine (1-0_ and Stony Brook (11-5)
- SHU has losing records against UMASS-Lowell (8-28), Hartford (5-6) and Vermont (0-1), and is even with New Hamshire (1-1)
