Toys for Tots... Sacred Heart University will be partnering with Toys for Tots over the next two SHU home games on December 17 and 20. Any fan that brings a new, unwrapped toy to any one of those games, will receive a free ticket to future game.
Setting the Scene
The Sacred Heart women's basketball team returns home to the William H. Pitt Center Wednesday night after an 0-3 road trip to host the Siena Saints at 7:00 p.m. Both teams enter the contest on a losing streak as the Saints have lost their last four games after opening the season with three straight wins.
Inside the Series...
- This will be the sixth meeting between the Pioneers and the Siena Saints
- Sacred Heart leads the all-time series 3-2
- Before last year's defeat, SHU won three straight against the Saints
- Sacred Heart has won both games its played at home against Siena in 2010-11 (72-33) and 2012-13 (61-60)
Adaysha Leads the Way...
Adaysha Williams led the charge as the Sacred Heart women's basketball team overcame a 16-point deficit against Hartford on Sunday. The sophomore totaled a season-best 18 points, seven of which came in the final five minutes.
Trouble Behind the Arc...
In its last three games, Sacred Heart is shooting just 18.7% from three-point range (12-for-64). The Pioneers shot a season-low 12.5% from beyond the arc against Brown on Dec. 6 when they made just two of 16 triples taken.
