Live Stats and Video
Inside the Series...
- This is the 29th meeting between the Pioneers and the Colonials
- All meetings have come as Northeast Conference rivals
- SHU has battled Robert Morris in the NEC Tournament four times, winning twice and losing twice
- The Pioneers lost the NEC Championship to the Colonials in 2007 by just two points, 68-66
Scouting the Colonials...
- Robert Morris comes into Monday's matchup on a two-game winning streak having beaten Wagner (86-47) and St. Francis Brooklyn (67-64) in its last two outings
- The Colonials are led by sophomores Anna Nikki Stamolamprou and Judith Sole who average 11.6 points per game each
- RMU entered Northeast Conference play after a 2-9 non-conference slate
- Since Sal Buscaglia took over the Robert Morris women's basketball program 12 years ago, it has played in six national tournaments, won three Northeast Conference championships and earned playoff berths in nine of his 11 seasons.
20/20 Vision...
Saturday afternoon, Hannah Kimmel accomplished a feat no other Pioneer in nearly 10 years; the red shirt junior pulled down 23 rebounds. Missing the program's single-game record by just two, Kimmel became the first since Jasmine Walker in 2005 to grab 20 or more boards in a single game.
Flashing Offense...
Sacred Heart totaled 101 points in Saturday's win over Saint Francis U. There's something about the offensive battles that take place between the Pioneers and Red Flash that propels the scores higher and higher. The last time SHU reached 100 points was also against SFU in the 2014 Northeast Conference quarterfinal when the teams set a new NCAA Division I record for the highest combined point total when Saint Francis knocked SHU out with the 132-124 win.
