Inside the Series...
- All matchups have come in SHU's Division I era as Northeast Conference opponents
- Before last year's 76-63 loss the the Mount at home, Sacred Heart was a perfect 14-0 against Mount St. Mary's in the William H. Pitt Center
- Last year, the Pioneers and the Mount split the regular season, each team picking up a win in the opposing gym
- Sacred Heart is 2-1 when facing Mount St. Mary's in the NEC Tournament. They first met in the 2001 semifinals where the Mount knocked out the Pioneers with a 50-45 victory. Fast forward four years to 2005 where this time SHU took down the Mount 76-56 in the quarterfinal. On its way to its second NEC Championship in 2009, Sacred Heart once against topped Mount in the quarterfinal, 73-59, to move on to the semifinal.

Gabrielle Washington tallied a season-best before the halftime buzzer and continued to be a strong offensive presence in throughout the game leading all-players with 29 points in the Sacred Heart women's basketball team's 71-64 overtime victory over Mount St. Mary's on Coach Bike Court in the William H. Pitt Center. Hannah Kimmel recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
