Inside the Series...
- This is the 27th time the Pioneers have faced Fairleigh Dickinson
- Sacred Heart is a perfect 13-0 at home against the Knights
- SHU's first of only two losses to FDU came on Jan. 31, 2002 in Teaneck, N.J. where the Knights edged out the Pioneers 64-60. Last season, in the regular season finale, the Knights again topped SHU at home 75-69
- The teams have faced each other twice in the NEC Tournament, both times in the Quarterfinal round. SHU took both matchups, winning 83-55 in 2006 and 62-58 in 2012. Both seasons, the Pioneers went on to win the championship.
Scouting the Knights...
- Fairleigh Dickinson enters Monday's regular season finale on a two-game slide after dropping both games last week. After falling to SHU on Monday 66-65, the Knights dropped Saturday's matchup to the first place Central Connecticut State Blue Devils 77-56
- Red-shirt junior Erika Livermore nearly averages a double-double with 18.0 points and a team best 9.9 rebounds per game
- FDU entered Northeast Conference play 3-8 after picking up wins over Manhattan (73-54), Army (56-48) and Saint Peter's (76-59)
Last Time They Met...
With her fourth 20-plus point performance of the season, Gabrielle Washington led the Sacred Heart women's basketball team to a nail-biting 66-65 win over Fairleigh Dickinson last Monday night on Coach Bike Court in the William H. Pitt Center. The senior shot 50% (7-14) from the field for 21 points and missed a double-double by just one rebound as SHU clinched a Northeast Conference quarterfinal home game.
Washington was just one of four Pioneers to reach double-digit points. Lerae Ettienne, who laid in the game-winner, tallied 14, while Katie Shepard and Adaysha Williams totaled 12 and 11 respectively.
