Pioneers Fall to Drexel

The Sacred Heart wrestling team took the mat for their first home dual meet taking on the dragons of Drexel. The Pioneers fell to the Dragons in a hard fought battle 36-9.
The Pioneers fell to an early deficit after losing seven matches, until Elliott Antler picked up a decision 9-4. Antler was dominant on his feet picking up a number of takedowns leading to the win. Antler's win gave the Pioneers momentum as Sasha Oliinyk went on to pin his opponent in the next match after a slick throw on the edge of the mat. Oliinyk picked up the fall in 1:30 in the first period but the Pioneers still trailed 30-9. The match closed at 36-9 in favor of Drexel.
The Pioneers pick action back up Sunday November 20th at the Keystone Classic.
