Box Score SHELTON, Conn. – Sacred Heart defeated Post University 9-0 in womens's ice hockey action on Friday night.
The Pioneers scored three first period goals en route to the victory. Senior Megan Finley opened the scoring for SHU after just 1:23 minutes of play. Hannah Sullivan would add a second for the SHU at the 10:04 mark and just over a minute later Carly Radovich would add the third for the Pioneers off the power play to give SHU a comfortable lead going into the second period.
SHU would add four more in the second period with Meghan Kebalka scoring two goals in quick succession at the 2:34 and 5::50 mark respectively. Katie Stueve added the sixth for SHU at 14:28 before Lilly Cleary completed the scoring in the second period with under a minute left to play at 19:06.
Kebalka would add SHU's eigths to completed her hat trick in the third period with Katie Stueve completed in the scoring in a comfortable win in the Pioneers last game on the road for the season.
The two teams complete their weekend series Saturday, Feb. 18, at 4:30pm where SHU will honor their 2017 seniors on Senior Day.
