
Rugby Earns Win Over UNH At Harvard Seven's Tournament

The Sacred Heart University women's rugby team went 1-5 at the Harvard 7's Tournament.
Emily Mignogni led the Pioneers with three tries, while Charlotte Tallman added two.
The Pioneers return to action to host the Inaugural SHU Seven's Tournament on April 1st.
Match 1 – AIC
- SHU dropped a hard-fought 15-12 decision
- Mignogni and Tallman both tallied tries for the Pioneers in the opener
- Kaylee Hale was 1-2 on conversion attempts
Match 2 – Harvard
- SHU fell 35-0 to the host Crimson
Match 3 – New Hampshire
- The Pioneers earned the win, defeating UNH 24-12, to finish second in the pool
- Mignogni tallied two tries, with Tallman and Kaitlyn McNicholas both scoring once
- Hale was 2-4 in conversion attempts
Match 4 – Quinnipiac
- SHU dropped a 60-0 decision to the back-to-back national champions in the opening match of the Cup playoffs
Match 5 – West Chester
- SHU fell 29-0 in the final match of the event
