
Swimming Splits Tri-Meet Against Stony Brook and LIU Brooklyn

BROOKYLN, N.Y.- The Sacred Heart University Swimming team wrapped up its tri-meet at LIU Brookyln this afternoon. The team defeated Stony Brook by a final score of 156-105 while the team fell to NEC rival LIU Brooklyn 174-88.Freshman Nicole Tingley placed first in the 200 butterfly placing a time of 2:10.63. While NEC Swimmer of the Week junior Lauren Somers placed first in both the 100 and 200 freestyle placing times of 52.68 and 1:56.19. The team will return to action on November 3 when they face-off in another tri-meet this time against Manhattan and Holy Cross. Meet-time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
