
Men's Cross Country Concludes Season with IC4A Championships

BRONX, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart men's cross country team competed in its final meet of the 2018 season on Saturday, racing at the IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park. As a team, SHU placed 18th overall in the eight-kilometer race.
- Sophomore Moetiz Shilleh was the first Pioneer to cross the finish line in 105th place overall in 25:15. Junior Nicholas Pandolfo (25:40) and sophomore Ryan Corbett (25:51) were next across the line for Sacred Heart.
- First-year Corey Picard (26:17) and Scott Curtis (26:23) completed SHU's top five, and senior Jake Tavernite (26:25) and junior Gavin Thurlow (26:35) finished in the team's top seven.
- Christopher Gillis and Aidan Tucker also represented SHU, crossing the finish line in 26:46 and 28:42, respectively.
