Box Score WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - The Sacred Heart University field hockey team closed its season with a 7-1 road loss against top-seeded Monmouth Friday afternoon in the MAAC Tournament semifinals. Kayla Bedel-Franklin scored the lone goal for the Pioneers in the loss.
The Pioneers end the season at 8-12 overall and 2-4 in league action, while the regular-season champion Hawks improve to 12-6 on the year and 6-0 in MAAC action as they advance to Sunday's championship contest.
