Equestrian Takes High Point Team in Team's Home Opener

NORWALK, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University Equestrian team claimed the high point team of the day in the teams home-opener this afternoon tallying 39 points which was 18 points ahead of second place finisher Trinity. The Pioneers will return to action tomorrow when SHU heads up to compete at Trinity's home show in Simsbury, CT. Show begins at 9:00 a.m.
Senior captain Emily Spellman was named the reserve high point rider as she placed first in both Open Fences Section A and Limit Flat Section A. Six Pioneers also took first in their respective events to round out the win for the Pioneers. Full results of each section can be found below.
