Levesque and Davis Highlight Keystone Classic as Wrestling Takes Eighth Place

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Sacred Heart University Wrestling team completed it's matches today at the Keystone Classic hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The team returns to action on Friday, Dec. 6 when the Pioneers compete at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas, NV.
The Pioneers picked up 22 match wins on the day including a pair of wins by junior Nick Palumbo winning by decision against Aaron Kruk of Harvard 3-1 and a fall win over Max Livingstone of Drexel both in the 149 pound class. Meanwhile sophomore Kyle Davis picked up five wins on the mat and taking third place overall with a third place bout victory over Jesse Quatse by decision 4-2. Graduate student Brandon Levesque picked up five victories in the 165 class as he was able to pick up third place in the 165 bout defeating Emmett Lacastri of Franklin & Marshall by decision 3-1 to take third overall. The Pioneers as a team took eighth out of ten teams tallying a total of 53.5 points.
