NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Sacred Heart University Wrestling team fell to Columbia by a final score of 34-4 this afternoon. The Pioneers will return to action Saturday Sept. 9 when SHU hosts Hofstra. Match-time is set for 7:00 p.m.

Senior Brandon Levesque had the best performance for the Pioneers as he defeated Laurence Kosoy 12-4 to earn the Pioneers lone victory. The Pioneers overall had seven matches end up in decisions which were all close espically in the 141 weight class between Gerard Daly and Danny Fogaro which ended in Columbia's favor by just 7-4. In the 197 weight class Robert Hetherman fell to Sam Wustefeld by slim margin of 3-2. Then in the 184 weight class Brian Bonino defeated Kyle Davis by a tight match of 7-4.
