LEXINGTON, VA. – The Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team closed out the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday afternoon in the Old Dominion state as the Pioneers lost a pair of dual matches to Bloomsburg (28-14) and Virginia Military Institute (22-13). 

Of Note v. Bloomsburg

• Against the Huskies, the Pioneers picked up four individual victories. 
• John Hildebrandt opened SHU's scoring with a 12–7 decision at 141 pounds, followed by Dakota Asuncion's narrow 4–3 decision at 149. 
• Felix Lettini added a hard-fought sudden-victory win at 157, earning a 4–1 decision.
• Aidan Zarrella recorded the most decisive win of the match for SHU, posting a 16–1 technical fall at 174 pounds. 
• Bloomsburg secured the dual with wins in six bouts, including a pair of falls at 125 and 133 pounds.

Of Note v. VMI

• Sacred Heart bounced back with another competitive showing against VMI, earning four more wins across the lineup. 
• Hildebrandt again set the tone with a 5–1 decision at 141, while Lettini followed with a 7–3 decision at 157.
• Zarrella remained perfect on the day with a 7–5 decision at 174, and Hunter Perez delivered a strong performance at 184 pounds, earning a 20–11 major decision. 
• VMI claimed victories in the remaining bouts to secure the 22–13 dual win.
