Box Score BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University baseball team defeated in-state foe Yale, 13-10 Wednesday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Park. With the win, the Pioneers improve to 14-23 on the year, while the Bulldogs drop to 11-22.
Nick Rubino earned the win after giving up two runs on four hits and striking out one in 2.1 innings of relief. The Pioneers had nine different players drive in a run, with Danny Glendon's four RBI's leading the way.

SHU took a 10-5 lead after Perry delivered a pinch-hit RBI single in the second

SHU pushed its lead to 12-5 in the third after a run scored on a fielder's choice by Glendon, followed by a second run on a Yale throwing error

Glendon gave SHU a 13-7 lead with an RBI single in the fourth

Trailing 13-8, Yale pushed a run across the board in the seventh and eighth to cut the SHU lead to 13-10
