Box Score 2 BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The Sacred Heart University baseball team split its doubleheader against LIU Brooklyn Saturday, falling in game one 10-3 and winning 17-10 in game two. The Pioneers moved to to 15-24 on the season and 7-7 in the NEC, while LIU Brooklyn moved to 16-22 and 8-9 in NEC-play.
Jackson Aldam pitched in relief in game two to pick up his third win of the season. Elijah Brown led the SHU offense, going 3-for-5 with two home runs and eight RBI's. Jake Frasca and Austin Markmann also homered in the win.

GAME 1 NOTES (LIU 10, SHU 3):

Ryan LaMay got the start and took the loss after surrendering eight runs on 10 hits and striking out four in five innings of work

Markmann followed with a solo home run immediately after to give SHU an 8-2 lead

Daubon pushed the lead to 9-2 after an RBI single in the fourth

A few batters later, Jordan served a two-run single up the middle to give the Pioneers a comfortable 11-2 lead

With SHU leading 12-2, LIU Brooklyn scored twice in the fourth and twice in the fifth inning to cut the Pioneer lead to 12-6

After the Blackbirds trimmed the SHU lead to 13-7, the Pioneers added three runs in the seventh off a Fallacaro two-run single and a bases loaded walk to Brown for a 16-7 lead

Brown drove in his eighth run of the game with an RBI single to put SHU ahead 17-9 in the ninth
