Cross Country Wraps Up Regular Season at Mini-Meet

Women place sixth; three men run as individuals

NEW BRITAIN, Conn.— The Sacred Heart women's and men's cross country team competed in its final meet of the regular season at the Central Connecticut State Mini-Meet on Friday.

The women finished in sixth as a team and were led by Jessica Fontaine who crossed the finish line in 49^th place with 11:25.30. The junior shaved off 10 seconds from her previous time at the Mini-Meet in 2019.

Three Pioneers ran as individuals for the men. Gabriel Concepcion led the men for the first time this season, placing 81^st with a time of 18:54.30.

Up next, SHU runs at the Northeast Conference Championships at Stanley Quarter Park on Saturday, October 30 at 11 a.m.
