Mia Poppinga qualifies for Regional Championship

STORRS, Conn.- Success came in the arena on Saturday for the Sacred Heart University equestrian team as they took High Point team of the day in the morning show and tied for High Point team in the afternoon at UConn on Saturday.

Of Note:

With today's success, the Pioneers take first in the regional team standings.
Junior Mia Poppinga is the first rider this season to qualify for the individual Regional Championship in March (Intermediate Flat).
Macalya Sousa picked up two victories in today's shows placing first in Limit Flat Section B in the morning and in Limit Flat Section A in the afternoon.
Hanna Lloyd was named the High Point Rider in the afternoon show as she took first in Open Flat Section A.
