Box Score STONY BROOK, N.Y. — After getting swept in Friday's doubleheader against Stony Brook, the Sacred Heart University baseball program defeated the Seawolves, 2-0, in their third contest of the weekend on Sunday.

Of Note:
The game went scoreless until the sixth inning when the Pioneers scored the only two runs of the matchup. Elijah Brown grounded out to second allowed Isiah Daubon to score, advanced Trevor Fagan to third. Austin Markmann sent Fagan home with a single through the left side of the field.
Starting pitcher Ryan LaMay worked the opening five innings with eight strikeouts and three hits. LaMay was relieved by David Aufiero who only let up two hits, a walk, and threw two Ks in three innings. Brendan Coffey worked a scoreless ninth with two strikes to get his first career save.
Even though the Pioneers only had five hits, they drew seven walks. Second baseman Glendon had two of the five hits. SHU had several scoring opportunities as it stranded 12 runners on base.
