Of Note
- The Pioneers were able to jump on the board first as first-year Grady Kozak scored his first career goal off an assist by fellow first-year Rob Taylor IV 9:25 into the first half to put the Pioneers ahead 1-0.
- The strong defensive play would close the opening half with SHU ahead 1-0 before 20 minutes into the second half, Mount would even the score off a goal by Gavin Wyatt off a feed by Kyle Davis to tie the game up at 1-1.
- Just four minutes later 68:05 into the game, Segundo Navarro ripped his first goal of the season off an assist by Olliver Persson to give the Pioneers the 2-1 lead.
- Just as the Pioneers thought they had the game, a foul in the penalty box by SHU would lead to a penalty kick by Mount which led to a Kyle Davis goal 75:41 into the game to knot the game up at 2-2.
- As the game remained tied after regulation, in the 99th minute Mount was able to attempt another penalty kick in overtime and once again Davis delivered with the game-winner to seal the 3-2 victory over SHU.
