Box Score 2 LAKEWOOD, N.J. — The Sacred Heart University baseball team garnered both victories in the doubleheader at Wagner on Saturday to secure the series sweep. The Pioneers dominated game one with a 13-3 win and went 5-2 in the second.

Game 1
Score: Sacred Heart 13, Wagner 3
Of Note:
- The Red and White offense was led by Elijah Brown who had three runs and Justin Jordan with two.
- The Pioneers exploded in the seventh inning with 10 runs, which was topped by with a base-clearing triple from Brown, followed by back-to-back home runs from Austin Markmann and Isiah Daubon.
- SHU brought the energy early with two runs in the first by Jordan and Brown.
- Robert Farruggio doubled to left center, sending Austin Markmann home in the fifth for his second RBI of the game.
- Joe Emerson led off the scoring in the seventh with a single and a throwing error by the Seahawks third basemen, bringing home Farruggio and Daubon.
- Right-hander Tyler Briggs secured his first win of the season in a scoreless 2.2 innings with three strikeouts.

Score: Sacred Heart 5, Wagner 2
Of Note:
- For the second time of the day, Markmann homered to left field driving Justin Levito cross the plate.
- Daubon, Jordan and Emerson all tallied one run to help seal the victory.
- Junior Chase Jeter started on the mound and closed out the sweep with one run and seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings. The left-hander secured his second win of the season.
- Brendan Coffey closed out the remaining 3.2 innings for his fourth save of the season. The right-hander got out of a first and third jam with an inning-ending double play in the sixth.
