Danny Glendon crossed the home plate twice for the Pioneers, now with four on the season. Austin Markmann doubled to right field in the fifth inning to drive Glendon home for the team's first run, with 1-9 score.
With Markmann at bat, Dan Fallacaro scored on a wild pitch from Geoff Mosseau, with the Red Storm in the lead 13-2.
Isiah Daubon reached second on an error from right field allowing Glendon and Justin Jordan to turn around the bases in the seventh, for a 13-4 deficit.
Right-hand pitcher Max Helman pitched 1.1 innings and faced 32 batters before being relieved by first-year Tim Cotter in the seventh inning. The Tokyo, Japan native had one run, a single hit and lead the bullpen with two strikeouts in his first career game in red and white.
