Box Score 2 QUEENS, N.Y. — In the final two games of the weekend series, the Sacred Heart University baseball program fell in Sunday's doubleheader at St. John's. The team went 12-1 in six innings in game one, followed by an 11-2 defeat after nine in the second.
The Pioneers head to Fordham on March 10 at 2:30 p.m. before a four-game series at Hofstra two days later.

Of Note:
- Designated hitter Robert Farruggio scored his first career run in the fourth inning after Anthony Porrino hit a ground ball to the shortstop.
- The Pioneers bullpen rotation was active with Luke Hansen in for 1.1 innings, followed by Matt Aufiero for 1.1, Jake McDowell pitching 2.1 and Nick Jaskolski on the mound in the sixth inning.
- SHU had seven K's with Hansen, Aufiero and Jaskolski each with two and McDowell tallying one.

Of Note:
- Outfielder Isiah Daubon earned his second run of the season in the fourth inning with a single to right field by designated hitter Dan Fallacaro.
- Dann Glendon reached first on an error by the Red Storm's first baseman, allowing Fallacaro to score his second run against the Johnnies in this series.
- Right-hand pitcher Tyler Briggs opened 2.2 innings for the Pioneers with five hits, six runs and three strikeouts, while right-hand closer added two hits, one run and three K's.
- David Aufiero had five hits, four runs and a single strikeout in two innings, followed by former catcher-now-turned-pitcher Brendan Coffey with no hits and one K for 1.1 innings.
