Of Note
- Senior Colleen Walsh pitched a dominant game going all seven innings allowing no runs and striking out four batters to pick up her first shutout victory of the season.
- Neither side was able to score until the fourth inning after SHU was able to get a pair of runners on base courtesy of a single to left by Caroline Kruger and a single to left field by junior Alyssa Gonzalez.
- First-year Emily Carroll would then rip a single to second base advancing Kruger home to give SHU the lone run of the game.

Of Note
- It took more than one run to take game two as the Pioneers got the bats hot beginning with a 4-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third inning as Alyssa Gonzalez launched a three-run home run for her sixth of the year.
- Wagner narrowed the lead in the bottom of the inning with a pair of two-RBI singles to cut the SHU lead to 4-2.
- But SHU answered back as junior Amy Petrovich repeated the Gonzalez home run with a three-run home run of her own for her second of the year to blow the lead open to 7-2.
- In the bottom of the fifth Wagner was able to tally a pair of home runs to narrow the SHU lead to 7-5 but senior Colleen Walsh was able to come in for the save and give SHU the 7-5 victory.

Due to inclement weather in the forecast, tomorrow's doubleheader has been postponed which means the Pioneers will next play on Tuesday, April 13 when they travel to face Central Connecticut State. Game-time is set at 1:00 p.m.
