- The Pioneers ignited some firepower in the bottom of the third with six runs to put the team up nine. The sloppy inning allowed Robert Farruggio, Joe Emerson, Anthony Porrino, Trevor Fagan, Justin Jordan and Elijah Brown to cross the plate leaving the Knights in the dust.
- Jordan lit up the diamond with four runs including the opening run in the first followed by one in the second, third and the final run of the game off a sacrifice fly from Danny Glendon in the seventh.
- Michael Boyian came in as relief in the fifth to secure his first win, while Brendan Coffey closed out the ninth in three easy outs.
