Box Score BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — To clinch the third seed in the Northeast Conference Tournament, the Sacred Heart University baseball program sealed a 14-6 triumph over Wagner on Senior Day. After playing two consecutive extra-inning games, the Sacred Heart University baseball program, the Pioneers and Seahawks finished on in regulation following a five-run blow out in the seventh on Saturday.

Of Note:
- The Red and White dominated offensively with runs scored in six of the eight innings at bat, highlighted by the five-run seventh inning to leave the Seahawks in the dust.
- Austin Markman's single to right field allowed Elijah Brown to score the first run and the Pioneers never looked back.
- Wagner attempted a comeback and were up by two in the top of the fourth, but Robert Farruggio had something else in mind. The designated hitter singled to center field and drove in Markmann and Justin Jordan to knot the game at 6.
- Tyler Briggs went a scoreless 2.2 innings for a convincing win and his third this season, after coming in as relief in the fourth with one out. The right-hander struck out his only batter of the inning, immediately followed by catcher Trevor Fagan throwing to second baseman Danny Glendon and caught a Seahawk trying to take flight.
- Coming in the sixth, Brendan Coffey didn't allow any runs with a single hit to secure his ninth save of the season.
