Box Score 2 SMITHFIELD, RI- Make it a clean sweep as the Sacred Heart University softball team took a pair of games from Bryant this afternoon winning 10-6 and 12-3.

Of Note
- First-year Emily Carroll was the highlight of game one going 4-4 with a pair of RBI's including an RBI double in the first inning to give SHU a 1-0 lead.
- Carroll delivered again in the top of the third inning with an RBI single to right field to narrow the Bryant lead 3-2.
- Bryant responded with a two-run inning to put the Bulldogs ahead 5-2.
- Then in the top of the fifth, the Pioneers would rally back with five runs to give SHU a 7-6 lead off a bases-loaded walk, single to the shortstop, fielder's choice ground out, and error.
- SHU added more in the sixth as senior Kira Ferraiolo put the game away with a two-RBI single to right-center as SHU walked away with the 10-6 victory.

Of Note
- A whopping 10 runs were scoring by the Pioneers in the opening inning with three bases-loaded walks, a two-RBI single by Myah Eldred, and a three-run home run by junior Amy Petrovich to give SHU a 10-0 lead.
- In the fourth inning, SHU sealed the victory with a solo home run by Petrovich for her second of the game followed by an RBI single by Ferraiolo to result in the 10-3 victory.
- Olivia Vadas had a solid outing in the circle going all five innings allowing just three runs on nine hits to improve to 5-6 on the year.

- Following today's conference results, the Pioneers have clinched the #4 seed in the NEC Tournament. Play begins Thursday, May 13 when the Pioneers take on #1 seed SFU. Game-time is TBA.
