Elyssa Kipperman tallied a season-best five saves, but it wasn't enough as the Sacred Heart University women's soccer team was blanked, 4-0, at Providence on Wednesday evening.

Providence's Meg Hughes drew Sacred Heart's defense to free up a wide open Amber Birchwell who chipped the ball over Kipperman for the first goal of the game during the first three three minutes.
In the 18
th minute of play, Birchwell found Maria Paveglio cutting across the box. Paveglio one-timed the ball into the back of the net.
Less than a minute into the second half, Fava Brandt swarmed the Pioneers to regain possession in PC's offensive third. Brandt laid it off to Angie Suaza who fired the ball from just outside the 18 to open the second half.
Kyla Gallagher cut behind the SHU defense to pull Kipperman off her line and snuck it past in the 65
th minute.
The Friars outshot the Red & White, 17-4.
Providence earned five corners compared to Sacred Heart's three.
