BETHLEHEM, Pa. — For the first time since the 2015 campaign, the Sacred Heart University program was bested, 4-0, by Lehigh on Sunday.
The Mountain Hawks scored in all four quarters with two coming off corner opportunities. The first goal for Lehigh came off a shot from the top of the circle to take control of the lead, while the third was slapped in off a redirection from Lehigh's offense.
Erin Burgess and Samantha Maresca faced 16 shots between the poles with a combined five saves.
LU outshot the Pioneers, 16-2, and led in corners, 6-2.
The Red & White is back at home to host Bryant at 7 p.m.on October 1 at Johnson Field.
