Women's Lacrosse Announces 2022 Schedule

Pioneers begin the season at Yale on Feb. 19

FAIRFIELD, Conn.— The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team released its 2022 schedule, announced by head coach Laura Korutz on Tuesday.
 
The Pioneers open the season at Yale on February 19, marking the first meeting since 2017. Sacred Heart opens a five-game home stand with Quinnipiac on February 23. SHU holds a three-game winning streak over the Bobcats dating back to 2012.
 
Following the home opener, Sacred Heart hosts UMass Lowell (February 27), Iona (March 2), Delaware State (March 6) and Monmouth (March 11).
 
Following the home slate, Sacred Heart makes a trip to crosstown rival Fairfield on March 19. It will mark the 15th game between the two teams, with the Pioneers looking for their first win against the Stags.
 
Sacred Heart begins Northeast Conference play against Bryant on March 30 at Campus Field. The Pioneers split with the Bulldogs in 2021, including a 12-11 win in Smithfield. Sacred Heart will face defending champion Mount St. Mary's on April 23.
