FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart Women's Rowing Team competes in its most prestigious event of the fall this Saturday in Boston. The Pioneers will race a four in the 2022 Head of the Charles Regatta, which includes a live stream of all the action.

The HOCR runs all weekend, but SHU will race at 12:43 on Saturday. It's a senior heavy boat made up of coxswain Grace Arpin, Micaela Deutsch (stroke), Cara McDonald, the lone junior, Kristen Duffy, and Emily Iannantuoni

"HOCR is a really storied race," said SHU Head Coach Luke Wilhelm about the event that began in 1965. "It's a great opportunity to stack up against the best in the world. Racing on the Charles is a real right of passage in the rowing world, and it will be fun to see how our 4+ stacks up. Our goals are simple, represent the Pioneer crew program and race ravenously. Last year, we couldn't put our best down on the course for several reasons. We have no excuses this year."
