Sacred Heart had a quick lead to open the game thanks to a three-pointer from Solomon to give the Pioneers a 7-4 advantage. Rutgers answered with a 15-0 run to take a 19-7 lead with 13:01 left in the first half.
Galette and Espinal-Guzman made back-to-back layups to cut the Pioneers' deficit to nine, 21-12 with 8:52 left in the half. The Scarlet Knights went on to take a 46-25 lead at halftime.
Rutgers outscored Sacred Heart, 42-25 in the second half to take the 88-50 final.
