FAIRFIELD, Conn.—Junior Mike Sixsmith scored a career-high 23 points to lead Sacred Heart men's basketball to an 88-85 victory over Columbia at home on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers had four players score in double figures in the win.

With under two minutes left in the game and Pioneers down by two, 83-81, Solomon knocked down a three to put the Pioneers up by one. Columbia answered and went up by one, with 1:20 left before Galette put the game away with the final four points of the game for the 88-85 final.
In the opening half, Sacred Heart had an 11 point lead 28-17, with eight of the points coming from Reilly. Columbia answered and took a 31-29 lead with 6:28 left in the opening half. Raymond Espinal-Guzman made a layup at 1:13 in the first half to bring the Pioneers within one, followed by layup by Tanner Thomas at the buzzer to give Sacred Heart a 47-46 lead at halftime.
Sacred Heart outscored Columbia 41-39 in the second half to secure the victory.
