LOWELL, Mass.—Junior
Bryce Johnson scored a career-high 24 points with 13 rebounds as he recorded his first double-double of the season in Sacred Heart men's basketball's 90-81 loss to UMass Lowell on the road on Wednesday evening. Johnson led four players in double figures for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers were down by as many as 16 points in the final five minutes of the first half, before using a 14-3 run to cut the deficit to five heading into halftime, 43-38.
Solomon made a layup at 15:48 in the second half with the Pioneers down by five before Johnson knocked down a three-pointer and followed that up with a jumper to tie the game 53-53. The Pioneers were battling as Lowell took another five-point lead, but
Tanner Thomas made two free-throws, and
Mike Sixsmith put away a layup, and one, two bring Sacred Heart within one, 61-60.
The Riverhawks went on a 15-2 run to take a 78-64 lead. The Pioneers cut the deficit to six points, but UMass Lowell put the game away in the final minutes for the 90-81 final.
Johnson went 9-14 (.643%) from the field and brought down a game and season-high 13 rebounds.
