Nico Galette matched his career-high 26 points to lead Sacred Heart men's basketball to a 75-60 victory over Binghamton on the road on Saturday afternoon. The win marks the Pioneers' first victory over Binghamton in program history.Â

Galette led three Pioneers in double figures as Sacred Heart beat Binghamton for the first time in the teams' meetings. Thomas knocked down a season-high 12 points, his first game of the season in double figures.

The Pioneers were down by as many as 11 points in the first half, before chipping away at the Binghamton lead. Galette and
Mike Sixsmith made back-to-back threes to bring the Pioneers within one, 18-17, with 5:35 left in the opening half. With 4:52 left, Galette made a layup to tie the game, 19-19. Binghamton went up by five, 24-19, with 3:26 left in the first half and the Pioneers, went on a 10-0 run to take a five-point lead at the half, 29-24.

Sacred Heart kept its foot on the gas during the second half, going up by 18 with 14:11 left in the game. At 13:01,
Bryce Johnson made a layup that sparked a 9-2 run to give the Pioneers the largest lead of the game, 57-35. Sacred Heart maintained the advantage through the remainder of the game to take the 75-60 final.

Galette shot 9 for 18 (.500) from the field and was 4 for 7 (.571) from three-point range as he led the Pioneers in scoring, rebounds (9), steals (4), and assists (3).
