NEW YORK, N.Y. — Epee quintuplet secured a 5-4 victory over New York University for the Sacred Heart University men's fencing team at the third annual George Kolombatovich Historical Meet hosted by Columbia on Wednesday.
Cameron Silver led the epee squad against the Bobcats with a 2-1 bout record, while
Luke Fenwick snapped the tie to secure the winning bout for the Pioneers.
Jeffrey Palma added to the win with a 1-1 record and
Frank Riccio racked up a point in his single bout in round three to secure the 5-4 triumph.
In the final round,
Petar Janicijevic Agatonovic went undefeated against NYU in the foil's narrow 4-5 loss.
Connor Kravit dominated in the epee as he denied Columbia any points in round two. The first-year posted a 3-1 record on the day.
The Red & White compete at the NEIFC Championship at Brandeis on February 26.
